About
Dr Maishnam Rustam Singh is serving in the Department of Anthropology, Cotton University, Guwahati as Assistant Professor from 5th June 2015 onwards. He was previously Guest Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology, Manipur University (i.e. from 9th November, 2011 to 4th June, 2015). He did his UGC- Dr D.S. Kothari postdoctoral research from the Department of Anthropology, Gauhati University during 29th July, 2008 to 28th July, 2011. He holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology 2007, M.Sc. degree in Anthropology 2001 (specialized in Physical Anthropology) from the Manipur University. He had worked at Anthropological Survey of India, Nagpur as Junior Research Fellow, in a National Project on 'Human Origins, Genome and People of India- DNA Polymorphism' from 2nd April 2005 to 18th July 2008 (three years three months).
Teaching
Teaching human genetics, population genetics, nutrition and health, dental anthropology, ecological anthropology, research methodology, etc
Postgraduate teaching experience of more than eight years, i.e. from 9th November, 2011 onwards.
